Rural Health Meets Public Health: How a Rural Health Coalition Helped Combat the Opioid Epidemic in Pawnee County

Pawnee County was consistently in the Top 5 for the rate of Opioid Overdoses; however, a collaborative grassroots effort between the Pawnee County Healthy Coalition and OSU Prevention Programs began combatting the impact of the Opioid Crisis. Today we will be discussing the unique challenges of revamping a previously inactive coalition, lessons learned, and prevention techniques deemed effective for this rural county in Oklahoma.
